Who will transport the vehicle?

Article about CarCollect's transport partners

Written by Railey Vrouwe

When a vehicle is ready for transport, it can be collected in different ways. The transport can be carried out by a CarCollect transport partner or through the buyer's own transport.

Transport via CarCollect

CarCollect works with several transport partners to transport vehicles safely and efficiently.

The transport partner that collects the vehicle may differ depending on the transport order. The selected transport partner will contact the parties involved once the transport has been scheduled.

Own transport

It is also possible to collect a vehicle using your own transport.

Once the vehicle has been allocated to you, you can make arrangements with the seller. Always make sure that the seller knows when you will collect the vehicle so that the handover can proceed smoothly.

When can the vehicle be transported?

A vehicle can be transported once:

  • The payment has been confirmed.

  • The vehicle has been released.

  • The vehicle has the 'Transport' status.

From this status, you can schedule the transport or make arrangements to collect the vehicle.

Please note: mandatory transport

For some vehicles, transport via CarCollect is mandatory.

This is indicated:

  • In the vehicle dossier.

  • When placing a bid.

When transport is mandatory, the vehicle cannot be collected using your own transport.
