How do I know if a vehicle has been allocated to me?

Article about the notification when a vehicle has been allocated to you

Written by Railey Vrouwe

Have you placed a bid on a vehicle? You will be notified as soon as the seller has made a decision.

A vehicle can be allocated to you when the seller accepts your bid. You will automatically receive a notification by email.

How will I be notified?

When a vehicle has been allocated to you:

  • You will receive an email from CarCollect.

  • The vehicle will appear in your overview of purchased vehicles.

  • You can start the next steps in the purchasing process.

If the seller has not allocated the vehicle to you, you will also receive a notification.

The vehicle may, for example, have been allocated to another buyer, or the seller may have decided not to sell the vehicle.

Where can I find my allocated vehicles?

You can find your purchased vehicles by following these steps:

  1. Go to My CarCollect.

  2. Open My purchases.

  3. View the overview of your allocated vehicles.

Here you will find the vehicles that have been allocated to you and you can follow the next steps in the purchasing process.

When is a vehicle allocated?

The time between the end of an auction and the allocation of a vehicle can vary.

For some vehicles, allocation takes place shortly after the auction ends. For other vehicles, it may take longer, depending on the seller's assessment.

Tip

Keep a close eye on your email and CarCollect account after placing a bid. This way, you will know as soon as a vehicle has been allocated to you and can quickly continue with the next steps in the purchasing process.
