By connecting Mollie, a buyer can easily pay for a vehicle online. Once the payment has been successfully completed, the process is automatically updated within CarCollect.

Why should I use Mollie?

Mollie makes the payment process simpler and faster.

Benefits include:

✔ Buyers can pay online.
✔ Payments are automatically processed within CarCollect.
✔ Less manual payment verification is required.
✔ The vehicle handling process is faster.
✔ The vehicle can move to the next step in the process more quickly.

How does payment via Mollie work?

When a buyer has purchased a vehicle and the seller has enabled online payment via Mollie, the buyer can complete the payment digitally.

After a successful payment:

  1. The payment is processed.

  2. The vehicle automatically moves to the Release status.

  3. The added TDN (Temporary Document Number) becomes available.

  4. The further vehicle handling process can continue.

This means the seller does not have to manually verify the payment, allowing the administrative process to be completed more quickly.

How do I set up Mollie?

To use online payments via Mollie, you need to connect a Mollie account to your CarCollect account as a seller.

Follow these steps:

  1. Create a Mollie account or use an existing Mollie account.

  2. Generate the required API key within Mollie.

  3. Share the Mollie API key with the CarCollect Support team.

  4. CarCollect will set up the integration.

  5. Once activated, buyers can make online payments.

What happens after the payment?

After a successful online payment, the payment is automatically processed in CarCollect.

The vehicle then moves to the next step:

Payment completed → Release → TDN available → Further vehicle handling

This ensures a faster and more efficient process between buyer and seller.

What if the buyer does not pay online?

If the buyer does not pay via Mollie, the transaction will follow the regular payment process.

The vehicle status will only be updated once the payment has been successfully completed.

Online payments via Mollie are particularly useful for:

  • Dealer organisations.

  • Leasing companies.

  • Fleet owners.

  • Remarketing companies.
