What do the different hashtags mean?

Within a vehicle file, you may come across different hashtags. These tags indicate how a vehicle is being offered and which audience can see the vehicle.

Below, we explain the different hashtags.

#Trade

The vehicle is visible to trading partners on CarCollect.

Buyers within the trading network can view the vehicle and place bids.

#Internal

The vehicle is only visible within your own organisation.

This option is used, for example, when you want to offer a vehicle internally before making it available to external trading partners.

#General

The vehicle is included in the general offering on CarCollect.

This makes the vehicle visible to a broad group of professional buyers on the platform.

#Remarketing

The vehicle is part of the remarketing offering.

These vehicles are offered to a specific group of buyers, for example vehicles originating from lease, rental or other business vehicle flows.

#Buy-Now

The vehicle is available through Buy-Now.

Buyers can purchase the vehicle immediately at a predetermined fixed price without waiting for an auction to end.

#Direct purchase

The vehicle was purchased without another vehicle being traded in as part of the transaction.

#100% Sale

The vehicle was received as a trade-in and is being sold definitively through CarCollect.

#Damaged vehicle

The vehicle has damage that goes beyond normal signs of use.

For these vehicles, it is important to carefully review the vehicle details and available information before placing a bid.

Why are hashtags important?

Hashtags help you quickly understand:

  • How a vehicle is being offered.

  • Which audience can see the vehicle.

  • Which sales method is being used.

This allows you as a buyer or seller to immediately understand what to expect from a vehicle.
