The Temporary Document Number (TDN) is required for the transfer of ownership of a vehicle. As the seller, you upload the TDN to the vehicle dossier so that the buyer can release the vehicle after payment.
The TDN is securely stored within CarCollect and only becomes visible to the buyer after the vehicle payment has been confirmed.
When do I upload the TDN?
You can upload the TDN after the vehicle has been allocated to a buyer and before the vehicle proceeds to the next step in the process.
Always check that the correct TDN belongs to the relevant vehicle before uploading it.
How do I upload the TDN?
Follow the steps below:
Open the relevant vehicle dossier.
Click the blue action button.
Select 'Change vehicle data'.
Select 'Upload TDN'.
Drag the file into the upload field or click the plus icon to add a file.
Click 'Confirm'.
The TDN will then be stored in the vehicle dossier.
When can the buyer see the TDN?
The TDN is not immediately visible to the buyer after it has been uploaded.
Once the vehicle payment has been confirmed in CarCollect, the buyer will gain access to the TDN. The buyer can then find the document under Documents in the vehicle dossier.
Where can I find the TDN?
After uploading it, you can find the TDN in the vehicle dossier under Documents.
