On CarCollect, you cannot see the exact bids placed by other buyers. This ensures that every buyer places a bid independently, based on the information in the vehicle dossier.
You therefore cannot see which amounts other traders have bid or what the highest bid on a vehicle is.
How do I know whether my bid is strong enough?
During the bidding process, you can use the Bid indication.
The Bid indication gives you an indication of the position of your bid compared to the expected bids for the vehicle. This gives you a better idea of whether your bid is competitive.
Please note: the Bid indication is a tool and does not guarantee that you will win the vehicle. The seller ultimately decides who the vehicle is allocated to.
Why aren't bids shared?
By keeping other buyers' bids hidden:
Every buyer can independently determine their maximum bid.
The bidding process remains fair and transparent.
Bids are not influenced by other bidders.
Where can I find my own bids?
You can view your own bids by following these steps:
Go to the Buying offering.
Open the filter menu.
Go to My CarCollect.
Select My bids.
Here you can see which vehicles you have bid on and their current status.
Tip
Always determine in advance how much the vehicle is worth to you and take the following into account:
✔ The condition of the vehicle.
✔ Any damage and other details.
✔ Any transport costs.
✔ Additional costs.
Use the Bid indication as a tool, but always base your final bid on your own valuation of the vehicle.
