Have you found an interesting vehicle on CarCollect? You can then place a bid.
Before placing a bid, always read the complete vehicle dossier carefully. Check the vehicle details, photos, damage, documents and any additional costs. This helps you avoid surprises and determine a realistic bid.
Step 1: View the vehicle
Open the vehicle dossier of the vehicle you want to bid on.
Check, among other things:
Vehicle details.
Mileage.
Photos.
Damage and other details.
Documents.
Any available transport options.
All information in the vehicle dossier helps you make a proper assessment of the vehicle.
Step 2: Determine your bid
Determine how much the vehicle is worth to you.
Take the following into account:
The condition of the vehicle.
The expected selling value.
Potential repair costs.
Transport costs.
Any additional costs.
Use the Bid indication
When placing a bid, you will see the Bid indication. This gives you an indication of how your bid compares to the expected bids for the vehicle.
Use the Bid indication as a tool when determining your bid, but always decide for yourself how much the vehicle is worth to you.
Step 3: Check the transport
Before placing a bid, check whether transport costs apply.
For some vehicles, mandatory transport via CarCollect applies. This means that the vehicle cannot be collected using your own transport.
Transport costs are separate from your bid and are not automatically added to the bid amount.
Calculate transport costs
You can view and calculate the transport costs in advance in the bidding screen.
Here you can see:
Whether transport is mandatory.
Which transport costs apply.
The costs for transporting the vehicle.
The transport costs are invoiced separately after the purchase.
Step 4: Place your bid
Follow the steps below:
Click the blue action button in the vehicle dossier.
Enter the amount you want to bid.
Check your bid and any transport costs.
Confirm your bid.
Your bid is placed immediately after confirmation.
Please note: a bid is binding
A bid is binding once placed. Therefore, always check carefully:
Whether you have entered the correct amount.
Whether you have taken any transport costs into account.
Whether you have fully assessed the vehicle.
A bid cannot simply be withdrawn after it has been placed.
Tips for successful bidding
✔ Always review the complete vehicle dossier before placing a bid.
✔ Carefully check the photos, damage and documents.
✔ Calculate the transport costs in advance when applicable.
✔ Use the Bid indication as a tool.
✔ Only place a bid if you actually want to purchase the vehicle.
